I assume that is part of the reason why Mt Battle is the way it is in this hack, but it feels like a relatively inelegant solution. Though what is arguably a bigger problem I have with Colosseum is that actually purifying all of the shadow Pokemon is a huge pain. Lastly I would particularly enjoy if there were more quality of life changes, if you could manage some way to purify shadow pokemon earlier that would be quite nice. I was personally quite a fan of the 100 round gauntlet. Also I am not too much of a fan of the first 7 zones of Mt Battle being turned into easy exp grinding. I've already beaten Venus and I dont think I have encountered a single new shadow pokemon yet which is strange. I know this is an early version of this rom hack so I didn't have the biggest expectations though I do wish there were more shadow pokemon added to it.
I am a big fan of the original games for the gamecube and because this rom hack is not too transformative I would say it is hard not to like it, I do like the increase in difficulty too. Shadows now gain exp from the start not just when their guages reach 2 barsīubblebeam and Aurora Beam now have 75 power and 100% chance of lowering opponents stats Removed paralysis chance from hurricane, but still 100% accurate in rain Moves that had their accuracy/power unchanged from later gen counterparts correctly updated Hoenn and Kanto versions with new legendaries/starters Some shadows have been changed/moved to allow for better type variety and stat distributionsĪdded following moves: Shadow Bone, Mystical Fire, Struggle Bug, Giga Impact, Snarl Stat rebalancing (Find details in download)
